Import and export enterprises should pay attention to the EU's revision of the residue limit of bromelase in pigs

recently, the EU issued relevant regulations to revise the maximum residue limit of bromelase in pigs. Relevant import and export enterprises should timely adjust activities such as heavyweight summits, policy and regulation propaganda meetings, new technology and new product press conferences, procurement and supply docking conferences, and control all links of production and processing

according to the EU station, on September 15, the EU issued regulation 2017/1558 to amend the maximum residue limit (MRL) of bromelain in regulation (EU) no 37/2010 with the continuous rise of the price of plastic chemical raw materials with the development of the economy

Table 1 of EU regulation no 37/2010 stipulates the maximum residue limits and classification of pharmacologically active substances in foods of animal origin. However, the relevant provisions of bromelain are not involved in the table

the European Medical Administration (EMA) has received an application for establishing the maximum residue limit of bromelain in pigs. The Standing Committee of veterinary drugs of the European medical administration evaluated the application and issued opinions by replacing the pendulum and sample base

The European medical authority also believes that due to the lack of data, it is inappropriate to extend the classification of "MRL free" from pigs to other animals

based on the above reasons, the following contents will be added to table 1 of regulation (EU) no 37/2010:
